Ordering your meal at Nawani’s Mr India or Indian Delights

I first came across J.P.Nawani or as he told me”call me Nawani”, in Lower Hutt within his restaurant Mr India Tandoori Restaurant & Takeaway. I was struck by his charismatic nature and his ability to keenly explain how his meals were prepared and cooked to perfection. I was impressed before I had even had a chance to savour my starter, which was obviously a sign of confidence that I was certainly in for a treat. I was. I tried the Prawns Koliwada which is battered in chickpea flour mixed with garlic, ginger and spices and then finally lightly fried.

For my main I choose the Lamb Banzara, which following on in the ginger theme, was cooked in cashew nuts, onions and Nawani’s secret gravy ;) The lamb was tender and having opted for medium strength (you can go for hot or even challenge) I was able to enjoy the wholesome flavour of the spice and ginger theme.

Mr India has a wide choice of mains extending to goat and fish dishes and is certainly an excellent choice of venue and for ordering your meal online. Yes he delivers to your home or work place too.
